3. How we use information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  1. To provide our Services: creating and managing your account, processing and fulfilling orders, sourcing products on your request, arranging delivery, and sending service-related messages.

3.1 Legal bases for processing

Where applicable, we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate business interests; compliance with a legal obligation; and, where required, your explicit consent — for example, before sending marketing SMS or email campaigns.

4. Sharing information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances and with carefully selected third parties:

  • Delivery partners: name, phone number, address and order details required to deliver your order to the correct location within Kenya.
  • Payment processors: Paystack, M-Pesa, or other authorised payment providers acting as data processors for card and mobile-money transactions.
  • Suppliers and sourcing partners: limited, anonymised or pseudonymised product requirements when sourcing items on your behalf — we never share your payment information with suppliers.
  • Professional advisors and authorities: lawyers, auditors, insurers, regulators and law enforcement bodies where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our business, customer information may be one of the transferred assets.
  • With your consent: in any other case, we will ask for your explicit consent before sharing personal information.

5. Data security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. These measures include:

  • Encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) across our website and APIs.
  • Hashing and salted storage for account passwords using industry-standard algorithms.
  • Role-based access controls and least-privilege principles for staff accounts.
  • Regular security reviews, vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
  • Secure Supabase-based infrastructure with row-level security on customer data.
  • Confidentiality agreements and ongoing data-protection training for our team.

Despite these measures, no data transmission over the internet or storage system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from our Services. You transmit information at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your account password secure and confidential.

  • Anonymous analytics: up to twenty-four (24) months, after which it is aggregated or deleted.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable laws, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. These include:
